We empower young women to become better versions of themselves by teaching self-confidence, emotional intelligence, professionalism, sisterhood, and career readiness — through entrepreneurship, esthetics, fashion, hair, and etiquette.

Who We Serve

Young women ages 13–17 in Washington, DC. We work with up to 13 girls per cohort and partner with schools, recreation centers, and youth employment programs to reach girls where they are.

How Every Session Works

  • Learn it — girls study the topic through real discussion and interactive lessons
  • Hear it — a paid guest speaker shares their real journey and expertise
  • Live it — a hands-on workshop where girls apply exactly what they learned
  • Feel it — sisterhood building, affirmations, and personal growth check-ins

Brooklyn — Cohort 2

Brooklyn always knew she could do hair. Ponytails, cornrow braids, knotless braids — she had the talent. What she needed was the structure to turn that talent into something real.

Through Devine Power, Brooklyn worked with a mentor to build the foundation of her brand, learning what it takes to go from doing hair to running a business. She developed her brand identity, learned the basics of entrepreneurship, and launched TheSalonAmorr — her very own hair business.

Today Brooklyn is not just a girl who does hair. She is a young entrepreneur, and she is just getting started.

Summer Intensive Refinement & Leadership Bootcamp

Our most immersive program. Six weeks of daily sessions designed to transform young women from the inside out.

  • Beauty & fashion — esthetics, skincare, makeup, waxing, lashes, hair, Black hair care, sewing
  • Self-love & boundaries — daily affirmations, journaling, workshops
  • Workforce development & entrepreneurship — goal-setting and career readiness
  • Professionalism & etiquette — interview prep, dressing for success, leadership
  • Field trips — beauty schools, fashion museums, fabrication labs
  • Guest speakers — beauty, fashion, mental health, entrepreneurship
  • Take-home kits — practice materials, planners, worksheets

School-Year Cohort Professional Foundations Program

Our signature program. Six months of bi-weekly sessions that give girls a consistent, supportive space to grow throughout the school year.

  • Career and entrepreneurship coaching

After-School Pilot Empowerment Essentials Program

8–10 weeksWeeklyAges 13–17

Perfect for schools and organizations bringing Devine Power into their community for the first time.

  • Introduction to beauty, fashion, and hair

Cohort 1 — Spring 2025 (January–June 2025)

Our very first cohort ran for six months and the results were beyond anything we imagined. Girls showed up, opened up, and grew in ways that moved us to tears.

Cohort 2 — Summer 2025

Our second cohort was something special. We partnered with the Summer Youth Employment Program so our girls got paid to participate — because their time and growth is valuable. And they showed up and showed out.

Four girls. One summer. Endless possibilities. This is what happens when you invest in young women.
